26th International Eyes & Ears Awards 2024

All persons or companies with entries in which they were involved under copyright law are eligible to participate. The entrant warrants that the rights of third parties do not conflict with the intended use of the entries submitted by Eyes & Ears of Europe.

Entries for the International Eyes & Ears Awards 2024 may only be submitted if they were first broadcast, posted online or otherwise made publicly available on a broadcast station, on a VOD platform, in a cinema, on the Internet or as part of an event in the period from 1 May 2023 to 30 June 2024. The same contribution may not be submitted in successive years without significant changes. For campaigns with several spots or elements, at least one of the spots or one of the elements must have been broadcast for the first time, put online or otherwise made publicly accessible in the specified period. The same campaign may not be submitted in consecutive years.

SUBMISSIONS PORTAL

You can submit your entries via the internet portal eeofe-awards.org by 1 July 2024 at the latest. Please register via the registration form on the internet portal to submit your entries for the Eyes & Ears Awards 2024. You will be notified of successful activation by email.

CONDITIONS

Only works that fulfil the conditions of participation will be entered into the International Eyes & Ears Awards and the judging process. Eyes & Ears of Europe e.V. reserves the right to exclude entries from the competition if they do not fulfil the conditions of entry or if the association is convinced that they could cause damage to the association. Entries that do not win a prize, are withdrawn by the entrant after the closing date or are not admitted to the International Eyes & Ears Awards, in particular because they do not fulfil the conditions of entry, will not be reimbursed. All submissions will be checked for compliance with the conditions of participation before the jury meeting. If necessary, insufficient or missing information will be subsequently requested from the submitter. Eyes & Ears of Europe e.V. reserves the right to change categories and edit credits after consultation with the submitter. If the submitter refuses a category change, Eyes & Ears of Europe reserves the right to disqualify the entry without reimbursement.  If German or other language submissions are not subtitled in English, Eyes & Ears of Europe reserves the right to do so itself at a later date. Eyes & Ears of Europe also reserves the right not to present an award, to withdraw the entire category from the competition or not to present the category in the awards show if the number of entries in this category is low. In this case, the entrant may be granted a free entry for the following year. If the jurors of the expert juries decide on a sensible subdivision of submissions in a category, the submitter must accept a corresponding re-sorting of the clips (for example: submissions in the category 'Best 2D or 3D Animation' can be split into 'Best 2D Animation' and 'Best 3D Animation').

OBLIGATIONS & LIABILITY OF THE SUBMITTER

The submitter assures the accuracy of the information provided. The submitter confirms that he has read and accepts the conditions of participation. By submitting one or more works, each entrant submits to the conditions of participation and the evaluation procedure. Legal recourse is excluded.

OBLIGATIONS & LIABILITY OF EYES & EARS OF EUROPE

Claims for damages due to breach of duty and unlawful acts, claims for reimbursement of futile expenses as well as compensation for unforeseeable damages and consequential damages caused by a defect are excluded towards Eyes & Ears of Europe e.V. as well as towards its vicarious agents and vicarious agents. This does not apply if the damage was caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Furthermore, the limitation shall not apply in the event of a breach of material contractual obligations, i.e. such contractual obligations the performance of which is essential for the proper performance of the contract and on whose compliance the submitter may regularly rely and whose breach, on the other hand, jeopardises the achievement of the purpose of the contract. Due to errors through no fault of Eyes & Ears of Europe e.V. and printing or transmission errors which entitle Eyes & Ears of Europe e.V. to appeal, the submitter cannot claim damages as a consequence of the appeal.

If a first prize (Gold) is won, a trophy will be presented to the prize collector indicated by the submitter during the Awards Show or it will be sent to the entrant via mail. In addition, the winners of the 1st (Gold), 2nd (Silver) and 3rd (Bronze) prizes will be sent a certificate by post after the Awards Show. For this purpose, the information provided by the entrant on the creative team will be standardised and adopted in advance. All participants can purchase further trophies and certificates for a fee.

RIGHTS OF USE & RELEASE FROM LIABILITY

The submitter hereby grants Eyes & Ears of Europe e.V. the right to show the submitted contribution(s) without limitations in terms of time, space and media within the framework of Eyes & Ears events and their marketing, to use for Eyes & Ears documentations and/or publications and to store and/or file them at Eyes & Ears of Europe e.V. for archiving purposes, without remuneration, material and/or license costs and/or fees arising for Eyes & Ears of Europe e.V. in this respect.
